Wadoud

We have woven exquisite verses by AI-Mutanabbi in a beautiful Arabic script that harmonizes with the arrangement of its letters, within a collection we have named 'Wadoud.' This distinctive design adorns numerous pieces, creating a cohesive artistic ensemble. As is typical of AI-Mutanabbi, who masterfully blends praise and criticism, he composed these verses to commend people of affection and generosity whom he visited, while also teasing an old friend called Dawood.

"If you seek roses, visit a kind home, and keep away from the abode that sheltered Dawood. For when people see a kind person, their affection for that person grows."

أبيات شعرية متميزة للمتنبي وأبدع في غزلها دون أن يكون فيها أي حرفين متصلين وقمنا بنسجها بخط عربي جميل يتناسق مع نثر حروفها ضمن مجموعة أسميناها "ودود" لتزيّن بتصميمها الجميل قطعاً عديدة إما بالذهب الخالص أو البلاتين أو التشكيل الحراري أو اللوني ولتصنع معاً هذه المجموعة الفنية الجميلة.

وكعادة المتنبي في جمع المدح والقدح بدهاء فقد صاغ هذه الأبيات ليمدح أناسا أهلَ ودٍّ وكرم زارَهم ولكي يغيظ صديقا قديما له اسمه داوود.

زُرْ دَارَ وُدٍ إِنْ أَرَدْتَ وُرُوْدَا

وَارْدَعْ وَدَعْ دَارَاً أَوَتْ دَاوُوْدَا

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا مَرْءاً وَدُوْداً وَارِداً

زَادُوهُ وِداً أَنْ رَأَوْهُ وَدُوْدَا
